John arrived at 16:50 CST. Mom and baby are recovering well.
May as well start the brotherly rivalry right off, huh?
| Measure | Weight[lb] | Height[in] | Head Circumference[in] |
| John Patrick, 11/25/2002 | 7.8 | 20.75 | 14.25 |
| Joe Moonan, 4/15/2000 | 8.6 | 20.5 | 14.2 |
Analysis: It's pretty clear that the competition between
these two is going to be tight. While Joe has the clear edge on John
in weight, John has a slight advantage in both "height" (really, length)
and in head circumference -- though a small error inherent in the metric
to English units conversion should be expected in Joe's numbers.
Significantly, both of these latter measurements also include the
"squooooshing" effect in John's case -- which rendered him slightly
longer and, presumably,
slightly smaller in head circumference, than he would have been if
delivered by caesarean, as Joe was.
Conclusion: Further study is clearly in order; more updates
to follow as this breaking news develops.
