Since the last BabyLog, his majesty has uttered his first real syllables: "bwah", "vwah", "wah", "fwah." He appears to have the schwa and the fricatives down pat. Our anticipation of other vowels is palpable. In the meantime, we are quite happily entertained by his moving of his mouth up and down much like the aliens on Sesame Street who talk to the telephone (e.g., "brrrring! phone phone phone phone!").
Many have asked how the baby stats are looking; right now, approximate measurements (in contrast with Heisenberg, we are quite certain of his large momentum [see BabyLog 8], but are unable to measure his position with any accuracy) give Joe a weight of 21 pounds and a head circumference of about 23 inches. Thus, the development table looks like:
