This week, we are unable to report any major developmental developments with the youngster. I suppose one should expect that weekly reports will necessarily be limited to incremental, evolutionary, 'baby steps,' if you will.
Joey continues to practice his stomping, though the initial excitement at 'jogging' has somewhat faded, and he will only do a few steps in a row these days. Of course, he still doesn't get anywhere - this isn't walking, per se, but rather regular alternating leg movements in the style of walking while being held supported by someone else.
Joe also seems to be pulling Sean's hair (arm, leg, head) with some vigor. We do not look forward to further developments along these lines.
Shannon's visit has given us welcome impartial (well, mostly impartial) confirmation of his smileyness, playfulness, and chattiness. Shannon notes that he seems to have a long attention span (and something else that I didn't quite catch because I became distracted...), and our friend Laurie described Joey as remarkably attentive for his age (though that may have been Joey's amusement at Laurie's Scottish accent). In any case, we have seen in the last week that Joe has become a much more polite dinner guest than during his time in Minnesota, constraning his screaming bouts to nice five-minute interludes between courses.
